About Ian Dawson

The author, Ian Dawson, has written and edited over 60 books for children. Previously a school teacher and teacher-trainer in history, Ian then became the Director of Schools History Project for seven years and an educational adviser to the Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds. In 2003 he was awarded the National Teaching Fellowship for excellence in university teaching. The consultant, Dr Robert Arnott, is Sub-Dean of Medicine and Director of the Centre for the History of Medicine at the University of Birmingham.
