Customer Reviews for 'Silks and Saddlecloths (New title)'

Jeanette Braybrook

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Evidently the author knows a lot about the English race courses. I found that the descriptions of the Cornish villages very picturesque and makes me want to visit. The story was believeable and enjoyable, the characters realistic. Apart from the intrigue of the dopings I most enjoyed the underlying romance between Victor and the trainer's daughter Mary.I found the Cornish dialect a little hard to understand but it brought the character of Josh to life. I adore everything I have ever read about Cornwall and this book increases my desire to go there.
