Search Tips
There are over 2 million products in our range. Here are some tips about how to find the one you are looking for.
You can find products by searching or browsing through our categories.
Quick Searches
Titles, authors / artists, publishers/brands, product codes (including ISBNs for Books) and keywords associated with a product can be searched for in the quick search box at the top of each page. You can narrow this search to a particular product category with the drop-down menu.
Advanced Searching
The Books, Stationery and Magazine categories have Advanced Search. Advanced Search enables you to search by specific features of a product. For instance for Books you can search for Title, Author, Publisher, Series and ISBN. By entering terms in several fields you further narrow the search. For instance in Books, if you search on Title “To Kill a Mockingbird” and Publisher “Letts” you will return revision notes for the classic. If you do not complete the publisher field your search would find the original and the study texts. If you are unsure how to spell a title of name enter the start of the word and then an asterisk (e.g. “Solz*” for author Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn).
Once your search has returned a list of products you can further narrow the search by sub-category or price band with the links on the left hand side of the page. The list of products will be ordered by their relevance to the terms you searched upon. You can order this list to be ranked by bestsellers, alphabetically by title or author/artist, release date or price by using the drop-down menu at the top of the page.

Browsing
To find a product in an area of interest you can browse through our categories. Select a category with the tabs at the top of the site and then select a sub-category from the left hand side of the page. This enables you to refine your search from category to sub-category and price band. You can then conduct a quick search within the product list you have found with the Search Within box at the bottom left hand side of the page.
