Delivery options

We offer 4 types of delivery for most of the items we sell:

• 1. Free store delivery: takes 3-7 working days from dispatch
• 2. Saver delivery to home: free for orders over £15 and takes 3-5 days from dispatch. (See table below for charges for orders under £15.)
• 3. First class delivery to home: takes 1-2 working days from dispatch
• 4. Courier first class delivery to home: takes 1-2 working days from dispatch and needs to be signed for.

Only delivered to your card's billing address. (this is to help prevent fraud and applies to some high-value items)

You'll see the delivery charges in your basket before you go to the checkout.

Delivery charges

Our delivery charge varies according to what type of product you order and what delivery option you choose. See the table below.

If your order includes more than one product category the higher "per order" charge will apply. For instance a Book and a Stationery item delivered first class would be £5.99

Do I have to wait for all my items to be available?

No. If one or more item(s) are not available, we'll split your order and post every item as soon as it's ready. You only pay the price you saw when you ordered.

Can I split my order between addresses?

You can but we treat each delivery address and delivery option as separate order so you may have to pay extra.

An example of a split order:

You order a pen and a book and ask for the pen to be delivered by courier and the book by Saver delivery.

In rare cases, we will split your order if the delivery option you choose does not apply to every item in your order.

Why aren't all the delivery options always available?

There are some restrictions on how we deliver and to where. This is partly due to how our suppliers work, and partly to combat fraud. The delivery options are shown next to the items in your basket.

Some variations to delivery options:

• WHSmith gift vouchers, National Book Tokens and Theatre Tokens can only be delivered to a private address
• Some high value items can only be delivered to the billing address on your payment card
• We can't deliver to any addresses outside the UK, although we can accept orders made overseas to be delivered to a UK address
