Buying Online

Buying online with WHSmith.co.uk offers you the same great products that you would expect to find in your local WHSmith with all the convenience of shopping online.

To shop online simply browse the website by the categories or use the search box to go straight to a product if you are looking for something specific.

When you find an item that you would like to purchase click on 'add to basket' from the product page.

You can then continue shopping for other items, or go through to checkout to complete your purchase.

When placing an order online you can choose to have your order sent to a personal address or to any of our High Street stores if this is more convenient.

When we have your order ready for dispatch we will debit payment from your credit or debit card, unfortunately you cannot pay for your order on collection in store.

Checking Out

When you have selected all of the items you wish to purchase click on 'Checkout', which can be found on the Shopping Basket page and at the top of every page of the site.

The WHSmith.co.uk checkout process is quick and easy.

The first step is to enter your email address, either to place your order as a new customer, or to sign in as an existing customer if you have previously shopped with us.

If You Are a New Customer

Enter your email address and then click 'go to delivery details' where you can enter your contact details, and then enter/select your delivery address.

If You Are a Returning Customer

Sign-in using your email address and password as entered when you created your account.

You will be taken to a summary of your order. We will pre-select a delivery address and payment card which you can then change. The pre-selected address will be determined by whether you selected Store or Home delivery in your basket. If you select a store and have not used store delivery before we will use your nearest store that we deliver to. The card will be the last one that you used.

Delivery Address

On the Delivery page use the appropriate address finder to select a personal address, or to select a High Street store to collect your order from. If you wish to send your order to multiple addresses you will be able to split your order and add further addresses later on.

Once you have entered an address click on ‘Add Address’.

Add Payment Details

Select the billing address that your card is registered to and then complete all the required information about your card. Click on 'go to review order' to confirm the details that you have entered.

Review Order

On the 'Review and Place Order' page check that you are happy with the products you have ordered and the delivery address that you have chosen.

At this stage you can change your delivery address or split your order between several delivery addresses.

You are invited to sign-up for the WHSmith.co.uk newsletter and to create a password so that you can access you account in the future to track the progress of your order and place orders.

To progress on to you order confirmation click 'Place Order’. By doing this you are accepting our terms and conditions.

Order Confirmation

When you have confirmed your order you will receive a confirmation email that will detail all of your purchases and the delivery addresses you selected.

The order confirmation will be sent to the email address recorded against your details. Please use the 'order confirmation' to check your details are correct and print a copy for your records.
