Key Stage 1

As parents, we all want the best for our children and this is especially true when it comes to learning and progressing at school. At the beginning of Key Stage 1, children will be starting school with various levels of ability and knowledge, and teachers will work to bring the class up to a fairly even level of ability.

With your child now enrolled in the national curriculum, you may be surprised by the new skills and subjects that they're learning, but there are still plenty of ways you can help your child to learn at home. Keep up to date with what your child is studying in class and practise and nurture their new knowledge during everyday tasks.
