About Author

Isabel Schon is Founding Faculty and Director, Center for the Study of Books in Spanish for Children and Adolescents, California State University, San Marcos. Among her widely acclaimed publications are A Bicultural Heritage, the Latino/Hispanic Heritage series, the Books in Spanish for Children and Young Adults series, and Basic Collection of Children's Books in Spanish (Scarecrow). She won ALA's Grolier Award in 1986 and RASD's Denali Press Award in 1992.
