Sarajevo 1991. To the home of Adam and Finola VidakovicI comes their new lodger, the internationally-known concert pianist, Daniel Danuczek, who is to teach at the Conservatory. Soon after, the VidakovicI home will be a ruin and the family dead or missing. Written with compassion and humour, A Place of Springs follows the fortunes and misfortunes of Daniel against a background of music which both expresses and transcends human pain.
