By: Moisei Persits (author)Paperback
2 - 4 weeks availability
The author examines Soviet attempts to intervene directly in order to remould an Iranian nationalist movement in the image of Bolshevik revolution and thus aid the "crushing of capitalism". An effort doomed to failure by the doctrines of proletariat struggle that drove it, the intervention of the "Persian Red Army" was, due to its terrible cost in Russian lives, obscured behind an official history of the "Persian Revolution".
Moisei Persits gained his Ph.D. in 1962, and became a Doctor of Science in 1977. He has spent several decades pursuing research on Russian efforts to spread Communism to the East, resulting in many articles. He is also the author of several books in Russian, English and other languages. These include Revolutionaries of India in Soviet Russia: Mainsprings of the Communist Movement in the East (Moscow, 1983)
