How often do we find ourselves remembering only part of an old saying, no matter how much we try to jog or cajole our memory? As we grow older, unfortunately, this type of 'senior moment' occurs more frequently. However, with a modest effort, along with a firm but gentle nudge of the brainbox, the half-forgotten saying may be reconstructed with the missing part re-written. The change in wording often results in an improved version of the old saying.Donald Williams has written over 50 such sayings resulting in an entertaining and chucklesome little book.
After practising as a litigation partner in a London west end firm of solicitors, Donald Williams was appointed a Recorder and a full-time Judge of Employment Tribunals. He has also lectured and written books and articles on many aspects of law. In his spare time, he is a keen amateur musician. He is hoping to have published in 2013 a collection of articles and reminiscences 'Mainly on the Lighter Side of Law'.He celebrated his 85th birthday in December 2012.
