Description
Aortic Valve Repair provides a comprehensive summary on techniques developed during the first 500 cases of aortic ring annuloplasty. Aortic valve disease is usually surgically managed by aortic valve replacement, and it is well established in published literature regarding the long-term results, survival rate, durability of the protheses and reoperations rates. Over the past two decades, aortic valve repair (AVr) has evolved into a recognized surgical option for selected patients with aortic insufficiency or proximal aorta aneurysm. Studying the first 500 cases of aortic ring annuloplasty, the authors provide the most effective methods of leaflet and aortic root reconstruction to repair pathologies.
Including original illustrations and videos, the book serves as an essential reference for cardiac surgeons in practice. 300 illustrations (250 in full color); Illustrations, unspecified
