Paul Tiessen, Professor and Chairman of English at Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario, is editor of The Malcolm Lowry Review and of The Letters of Malcolm Lowry and Gerald Noxon, 1940- 1952 (University of British Columbia Press, 1988). Professor Gordon Bowker of Goldsmiths' College, University of London, edited several recent books on Lowry.
