About Author

Khalid Kishtainy was born in Baghdad and came to England after graduating from the Faculty of Law at Baghdad University and the Academy of Fine Arts. He has written many books, but is best known for his syndicated newspaper column, which he has written for over 20 years in al-Sharq al-Awsat, enjoyed throughout the Arab World and Europe for its wry cynicism and sharp analysis.
