As such, this is a varied collection of thoughts and facts about local firms, people, buildings and the natural surroundings. It starts with a look at the makers of Brent such as George Furness and George Stephenson who really helped to shape the area. It then goes on to recall Old Brent and the past way of life. Various trades are described by pieces like 'The Miller's Tale'. Many of the pictures come from the Brent Local Archives and add extra interest to the stories.
