Peter Crawley was born in Chiswick in 1956. He was educated at Cranleigh School, England, the Goethe Institut in Freiburg-im-Breisgau, Germany, and spent much of his youth in Germany and Corsica. Upon leaving full-time education he worked in Stuttgart, Germany, as a translator and on luxury motor-yachts around the Mediterranean. After further travels, he started his own business dealing in Mercedes-Benz in London's West End. He now has returned to writing full-time. His interests include his family, writing and skiing. He lives in Chertsey, England, with his wife Carol. They have three daughters.
