Mike Winch has developed his knowledge of conditioning and strength training athletes during more than forty years in the sport of athletics. Qualified as a physiologist and biochemist he is uniquely able to explain the intricacies of the subjects, while applying his practical knowledge to the techniques needed. Coaching at both international as well as within the club scenario, he is able to reflect on what is needed at the very highest level of the sport whilst not losing sight of the requirements of the beginner.
