Despite considerable advances in the traditional treatment modalities of surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy and their use in combination, oral cancer still presents at a relatively advanced stage, the increments in overall survival have been small, and morbidity that accompanies treatment adversely affects the quality of life. Controversy in this area is therefore inevitable. This volume brings together the work of experts from clinical and basic sciences specialties and addresses some of the controversial issues and advances in the management of oral cancer. This title features the following contributions and contributors: Potential molecular targets: From bench to bedside by Ajay Matta and Ranju Ralhan; Potentially malignant disorders of the oral cavity by D.C.
