Jeffrey M. Dorwart is a professor emeritus of history at Rutgers University. He received his BA from the University of Connecticut and MA and PhD from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Dorwart published histories of U.S. involvement in the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-95, two histories of the Office of Naval Intelligence, 1882-1945 and a study of James Forrestal and Ferdinand Eberstadt.
