He is the author of The Philosophy of John Scottus Eriugena (Cambridge University Press, 1989), Edmund Husserl: Founder of Phenomenology (2005) and Introduction to Phenomenology (2000), co-author of the Husserl Dictionary (2011) and editor of The Routledge Companion to Twentieth Century Philosophy (2008). He is Founding Editor of The International Journal of Philosophical Studies.
