Electricity market reforms have been underway worldwide for the last 20 years. They have included restructuring, privatization, regulation and the introduction of market mechanisms in electricity generation and trading. This publication analyses the impacts of these reforms as well as non-reform factors, on the selection of electricity generation technologies, including nuclear power, by investors.
