Susan Tuttle-Laube's first collection of essays in book form, illustrated by ANNA, takes you to the heart of feeling at home in strange new places. Though funny and entertaining, her snapshots in prose have a deeper, universal message. ANNA's caricatures are keenly attuned to the emotion behind the scene. An insider feeling like an outsider? Or an outsider's look at the insiders?

About Author

Susan Tuttle-Laube, originally from Teaneck, New Jersey, and now from Wettingen, Switzerland, isn't quite sure anymore where her American half starts and her Swiss half leaves off. But she claims it really doesn't matter, because home is where her husband and two sons are, and where the laundry piles up. She's held a variety of jobs on two continents including school bus driver, high school teacher, executive secretary, editor, mother and homemaker. To make sense of it all, she always comes back to writing. The illustrator Anna Regula Hartmann, better known simply as ANNA, is a passionate observer of people, inside and out. Art has been central to her since childhood, when she felt compelled to draw everything she saw. Her caricature and drawings regularly appear in numerous Swiss and German publications.
