Having worked for Vogue and GQ, she was editor-in-chief of the German edition of AD Architectural Digest from the year 2000 for over a decade. She has been responsible for TASCHEN's Lifestyle and Travel books since September 2011. She lives in Berlin with her pug, Arthur. The author: Ian Phillips was born in Middlesbrough, England--the birthplace of Captain Cook--and studied modern languages at Cambridge.
