About Author

Ann Jorissen is Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. Anne Britton was a Professor of Accounting, Associate Dean of the Business School and Head of the School of Accounting and Finance at Leeds Metropolitan University before retirement and is now an academic consultant. Carien van Mourik is Lecturer in Accounting, The Open University, UK and was previously Lecturer in Accounting at Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Martin Hoogendoorn is Professor of Financial Accounting, Erasmus University, the Netherlands and a partner at Ernst and Young Accountants. David Alexander is Professor of Accounting at the University of Birmingham and a former senior examiner for one of the major UK accounting bodies.
