Jacques Helleu is Chanel's eye. He has captured Catherine Deneuve shown as an enigmatic sex goddess, Vanessa Paradis as a tiny bird and Little Red Riding Hood clutching her perfume No. 5; he is the ultimate talented genius behind Chanel's image and publicity campaigns. For over four decades, he has explored the territory of a legendary brand through numerous ingenious advertising films and superb publicity campaigns. The greatest photographers (Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton), the greatest directors (Ridley Scott, Luc Besson, Jean-Paul Goude) and the greatest muses (Catherine Deneuve, Carole Bouquet, Nicole Kidman) have all contributed to Jacques Helleu's vision, bestowing upon Chanel perfume glamour spiced with a twist of humour. In the form of A to Z, Jacques Helleu presents these various personalities and looks back on a rich and diverse history of his creative campaigns that have stood the test of time.
