A story of one woman's long and varied working life. It commences with her early working life in the northern mill town of Macclesfield in the 1930's and World War II, through to her bringing up her family in the lively resort of Blackpool in the post war years.
Kathleen was born on the 14th July 1919 in Manchester, the only child of John and Mary Bennett.She married Arthur Joseph Pownall in December 1941 and they had 4 children, Christopher, Stephen, Helen and Teresa.They also had 7 grandchildren, Sarah, Nicholas, Rachel, Eleanor, Catherine, Sarah and Jonathan and at the time of this publication 4 great grandchildren, Emily, William, Sophie and James.
