English for CCEA KS3 Year 8 has been written to support teachers as they work to deliver the requirements of the Revised Curriculum for Northern Ireland, devised by CCEA. The aims and objectives of the Revised Curriculum have been adopted and endorsed. A range of texts, tasks and activities is provided in both the Student and Teacher resources which can challenge and extend the knowledge, understandings and skills of language learners. Texts have been selected to include spoken, illustrated, moving image and multi-media materials, as well as the conventional printed text. Opportunities have been created to investigate how new technologies can act as a powerful medium for communication and a useful tool for creating new texts, presenting ideas and for carrying out research.
