Kingdom: I and II - Original Broadcast Edition
All eight episodes of Lars von Trier's wryly comic, and sometimes horrific, fantasy mini-series set in the neurosurgical ward of Copenhagen's Rigshospitalet, known to the city's residents as 'Riget'. The series follows the staff and patients on the ward as they experience various unsettling occurrences of both the earthly and the supernatural varieties. These happenings are recounted daily by a duo of hospital dishwashers, both with Down's syndrome, who discuss the bizarre happenings of Riget as they work together in the cellar. Stephen King later used von Trier's creation as inspiration for his 2004 mini-series 'Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital'.
