Paul Finkelman is President William McKinley Professor of Law and Public Policy at Albany Law School and the author of more than twenty books including the Library of Congress Civil War Desk Reference. Melvin I. Urofsky is a professor emeritus of history at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning his A.B., M.A., and Ph.D. at Columbia University and his J.D. at University of Virginia. Urofsky is the author or editor of more than two dozen books on constitutional law, Supreme Court history, and religious freedoms.
