About Author

The late Robert Henkes (1922-2002) was a painter, with exhibits in many galleries, and a teacher. His books from McFarland are The Crucifixion in American Art (2003), World War II in American Art (2001), Portraits of Famous American Women (1997), Native American Painters of the Twentieth Century (1995) and Themes in American Painting (1993). He lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
