Building on the core competences for public health, this book focuses on key areas of leadership and collaborative working to improve health and wellbeing. Aimed at those undertaking Masters courses in public health and health promotion, it looks at leading and managing teams and individuals, building alliances, developing capacity and capability, working in partnership with other practitioners and agencies, and using the media effectively to improve health and wellbeing. Case studies, activities and research summaries are used throughout the book to help the reader to understand how to apply the theory to practice.
