About Author

Bernard Jouve is Researcher at the Ecole Nationale des Travaux Publics de l'Etat, Lyon, France. He holds a Doctorate in Urban Studies. He is currently working on territorial governance, urban and regional government in Europe. Christian Lefevre is Professor of urban studies at the Institut Francais d'Urbanisme, Paris where he teaches metropolitan government. He has done extensive research and studies on comparative metropolitan governance for various local, national and international research institutions.
