Using a selection of images from "London in the Postwar Years" by Douglas Whitworth, Michael Barrett compares them with modern views taken from identical positions. The images are accompanied by captions explaining the changes which have occurred. Michael Barrett's stunning colour photography contrasts with the evocative views of the post-war years to create an important visual record of England's capital city.
Michael Barrett worked for the BBC producing and directing documentaries before setting up a photographic business. He then worked for The National Trust, again producing documentaries. Douglas Whitworth has had a lifelong interest in photography which extends beyond his own work to the collection and archiving of early photographs
