Jawad Syed is Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Diversity Management at the University of Huddersfield. Previously he held the positions of Reader and Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management (HRM) at the University of Kent, UK where he worked for seven years. Jawad received his PhD in HRM from Macquarie University, Australia, and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education at the University of Kent. In addition, he received a Masters of International Business from the University of Western Sydney, Australia. With a professional and academic career that spans over 20 years in academic institutions and business organisations in the UK, Australia and Pakistan, Jawad examines HRM and diversity from relational, contextual and interdisciplinary perspectives, and focuses on critical integration of theory with practice.
