About the Author
Dr. Prabhakarn Arunachalam has expertise in electrocatalysis/nanotechnology and is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Electrochemical Science Research Chair, Chemistry Department, King Saud University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He received his MSc degree in Chemistry from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, India, in 2009 and his DSc degree under the guidance of Professor Nagai Keiji at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in 2013. He has presented his work at the Electrochemical Society of Japan, the Materials Research Society of Japan, and many other conferences. His research mainly focuses on the synthesis and characterization of mesoporous nanomaterials for visible light photocatalysis and photoelectrochemical studies of materials. He is a member of various editorial boards of the journals of the International reputation. He has co-authored more than 90 scientific papers in international journals and has received more than 2550 citations. Dr. Theerthagiri Jayaraman is a Brain Pool Fellow in the Department of Chemistry, Gyeongsang National University, South Korea, since August 2019. He worked as a Scientist-C/Assistant Professor in the Centre of Excellence for Energy Research, Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India, from May-2017 to July-2019. He received his B.Sc Degree in Chemistry from Sacred Heart College in 2009 and M.Sc Degree in Chemistry from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College in 2011. He completed his Ph.D. Degree in the Department of Chemistry, Thiruvalluvar University in March 2017. His current research focuses on developing electrocatalysts for energy applications, Pt-free counter electrode materials for dye-sensitized solar cells, polymer electrolytes, and catalysis for energy and environmental remediations. He has published more than 120 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and 9 book chapters. Abdullah M. Al-Mayouf is professor of physical chemistry at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia and the director of the Electrochemical Sciences Research Chair (ESRC). His research interests focus on porous and nanomaterials, electrochemical methods, electrocatalysis and photoelectrocatalysis and surface modification. Currently, he is the editor-in-chief for Journal of Saudi Chemical Society. Prof. Myong Yong Choi is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and the Director of the Core Facility Center for Photochemistry & Nanomaterials at Gyeongsang National University, South Korea. He served as a Visiting Professor, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013-2014. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Idaho and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. He worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Chemistry, University of Southern California, USA. His current research interests are in photocatalysis, photochemistry, nanomaterials using pulsed lasers, gas-phase laser spectroscopy, and quantum chemical calculations. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed research papers in national and international journals. Professional involvement of Prof. Choi is as Editorial Board in Photochem, Bioengineered and Journal of Spectroscopy, Associate Editor in the Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, IET Nanobiotechnology, Science of Advanced Materials, and Guest Editor in Chemosphere, Environmental Pollution, and Environmental Research, Elsevier Publisher in 2020-2021.
