About the Author
Stephany Jenkins is a pediatric physical therapist and has worked with children for over 31 years. Dealing with emotions and feelings is a hard lesson for children as well as adults, it's important to learn that you are not responsible for other people's feelings. Everyone needs to learn from a young age that it's not possible to own others' emotions nor is it possible to control their behavior. Stephany's hope is that Paws will encourage conversations and dialogue around the topic of emotions and big feelings. Role models can help children learn it is always acceptable to feel differently, but not to treat others poorly because of how they feel. Sabrina Wingren began as a theatrical set painter, graphic designer, and art director for a large advertising agency in Chicago. After teaching high school visual art for 7 years, she now runs A Space to Create Art, creating teaching materials for teachers everywhere. When asked to illustrate Stephany's children's books she jumped at the opportunity to add artwork to her sister's beautiful prose.
