Today, sustainable building means planning and producing structures that offer their users a high degree of comfort while only requiring a small amount of energy to operate. About Author

Bruno Keller is a full professor of building physics at the Eidgenoessische Technische Hochschule (ETH) Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich) and a visiting professor at Southeast University of China in Nanjing, China. He is a partner at Keller Technologies AG in Zug (Switzerland), with offices in Beijing, China. Stephan Rutz, dipl. arch. ETH, is an assistant professor of building physics at the Chair for Building Physics at the ETH Zurich. He has directed his own architecture firm (Rutz Architekten, Zurich) for seven years, and was a visiting lecturer at the F+F Schule fur Kunst und Mediendesign, Zurich (F+F School of Art and Media Design, Zurich) as well as at Southeast University of China in Nanjing.
