About the Author
Prof. Sabu Thomas is a renowned professor who is serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India. He is also a full professor of Polymer Science and Engineering at the School of Chemical Sciences, a role which he has held since 1998. He was previously Pro-Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University 2017-2018, Director of School of Chemical Science during 2010-2013, Hon. Director of International & Inter-University Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology 2009-2015 and 2016-17. In 2015, Prof. Thomas received his first Docteur Honoris Causa from University of Souther Brittany in Lorient, France. In 2016, he received his second Doctorate honoris causa from University of Lorraine, France. He was awarded the Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, London, FRSC in 2012. He received the Bronze Medal of the Chemical Research Society of India and the MRSI Medal of the Material Research Society of India in 2013. He was the recipient of Fulbright-Nehru International Education Administrators Award 2017. He also received TRiLA Academician of the year 2018 award. Prof. Thomas has published more than 1000 publications, and more than 100 books. Tuan Anh Nguyen is Principal Research Scientist at the Institute for Tropical Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Hanoi, Vietnam. His research focuses on advanced nanomaterials and nanotechnology for corrosion and materials integrity in transportation systems. His research activities include smart coatings, conducting polymers, corrosion and protection of metals/concrete, antibacterial materials, and advanced nanomaterials. Dr. Mazaher Ahmadi received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Bu-Ali Sina University in 2017. He has been to Alicante University, Spain, and Stockholm University, Sweden, as a visiting researcher in 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, respectively. He became an Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry at Bu-Ali Sina University in 2019. His professional experiences also include two post-doctorate research courses at Shiraz University of Medical Science, Iran, and Bu-Ali Sina University, Iran, in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019, respectively. Dr. Ahmadi is an expert in nanotechnology, analytical method development, pollutant removal, and wastewater treatment. He has edited six Elsevier books. He also has contributed eleven book chapters with Elsevier. Ghulam Yasin, Senior Research Fellow and Faculty Member at the Institute for Advanced Study, College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering of Shenzhen University, China. Dr Nirav Joshi is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Physics Department, Sao Carlos Institute of Physics at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. His research interests are nanomaterial synthesis and characterization, thin films, micro-fabrication, gas sensors, Langmuir-Blodgett thin films, flexible gas sensors, and high-k nano-structured materials.
