About Author

Roger Penn is Professor of Sociology, Queen's University, Belfast. Currently, he is Visiting Research Professor at the International Center of Research in International Management (ICRIM), Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan. Previously, he was Professor of Economic Sociology and Statistics at Lancaster University and Visiting Professor at the University of Bologna, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the University of California, Berkeley. He is the author of 14 books, including Children of International Migrants in Europe (Palgrave Macmillan 2009), Social Statistics: 4 Volume Edited Series (SAGE, 2010) and The Statistical Analysis of Continuous Data: 4 Volume Edited Series (SAGE, 2013), and the author of 150 refereed journal articles in economic sociology, quantitative methods, and the sociology of football. He has authored five earlier SAGE Case studies in Research Methods and has worked as a tutor for the MBA at the Open University.
