Caroline Vander Stichele is Univesitair Docent (Lecturer) in Religious Studies at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Amsterdam. She is the co-author of Contextualizing Gender in Early Christian Discourse: Thinking beyond Thecla (T&T Clark) and co-editor of Mapping Gender in Ancient Religious Discourses (Brill). Hugh S. Pyper is Professor of Biblical Interpretation at the University of Sheffield.
