In The Joe Public Guide to Addiction (An Aid for Parents), Joe Castello concisely explains how, as parents, we can best help our loved ones come to terms with, and deal with their addiction. Borrowing from such sources as The 12 Steps, Joe Castello clearly describes the importance of understanding addiction as a disease, that the road they'll have to take to recover will be a journey they'll be on for the rest of their lives, and that they'll not only have to hit rock bottom, but possibly hit rock bottom more times than once.
Joe Castello was born in 1939. He graduated in Pharmacy and then created a small chain of pharmacies. He is now part of a family business that is focused on bars and restaurants. He was active in rugby, judo and skiing until commonsense prevailed. He still plays in a 9-piece jazz and blues band.
