The Last Mountain
Documentary directed by Christopher Terrill about the life of Tom Ballard. In 1995, Ballard's mother Alison Hargreaves died climbing K2. In February 2019, Ballard himself disappeared on Nanga Parbat, one of the most dangerous mountains in the Himalayas, leaving behind his sister Kate and their father Jim. The film tells the story of a family who lived and were prepared to die for the love of climbing, and explores why Tom and Italian climber Daniele Nardi continued up Nanga Parbat when the other two members of their team turned back.More Details
