About Author

Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870) was the author of more than ninety plays and many novels, including the Three Musketeers trilogy and The Count of Monte Cristo. Joachim Neugroschel has won three PEN translation awards and the French-American translation prize. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
