Angela Shante is a writer and author of children's books, including The Noisy Classroom,which was a finalist for the 2020 American Fiction Awards for Children'sFiction and a silver medalist for the 2020 Wishing Shelf Book Awards for Ages6-8, and When My Cousins Come to Town, which was a silver medalist for the 2022 Irma Black Award and was on NYPL'sBest Books for Kids 2021. She is the co-founder of Sunday Dinner Publishing, anindie publishing company, and an advocate for DEI in publishing. As aformer teacher, she is now a consultant for educational organizations andschools. Angela lives in Los Angeles, California. Alison Hawkins is an award-winning illustrator,designer, and hand letterer. She illustrated the book The NoisyClassroom, which won the 2020 American Fiction Awards for Best CoverDesign for Children's Books, and her work has also been published by AmericanGreetings, Universal Standard, and Discover Durham. Alison loves to explorecolor and approaches art with a sense of humor and whimsy. She lives in Durham,North Carolina.
