A reference librarian at the University of Oregon, he is ordained to the priesthood, and assists at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Eugene. He has published Historic Preservation in the Pacific Northwest: A Bibliography of Sources, 1947-1978; A Chapter on Church History in Racine: Growth and Change in a Wisconsin County; and many articles and reviews in theological and bibliographical journals.
