About the Author
I was born in 1956 into the most loving and caring family. I enjoyed a wonderful childhood and upbringing, growing up in the small market town of Petersfield, in Hampshire. On leaving school I was taken on by a firm of chartered accountants - boring, some might say, but I found that I loved the job and I spent my whole working life in the accountancy profession. I married in 1980 and moved to the Waterlooville area. Sadly the marriage did not last, but from the union my wonderful son was born and raising him as a single parent was one of the happiest times of my life. With incredibly supportive parents, I was able to continue working on a part-time basis. In 1999 I met my partner, Dan, and I felt that my life was now complete. In 2007 our grandson arrived, followed in 2012 by our granddaughter. I never realised how much joy they would bring to all of our lives. My main hobbies are reading, films and TV and I also try my hand at oil and acrylic paintings. It wasn't until I reduced my hours at work that I found the time to write, and it was then that the idea for The Seaside Rescuers was finally put into words. I also write short stories and poems and find ideas constantly flowing into my imagination.
