Description

The World Bank Inspection Panel Casebook contains structured summaries of 'Requests for Inspection' - filed at the World Bank Inspection Panel between 1994 and 2011, by groups of individuals who claim to have been adversely affected by World Bank non-compliance with the Bank's own set of operational policies. The Casebook serves as an introduction to the Inspection Panel's growing body of practice, which can be used by a wider audience that seeks to study the Panel's work - including, for instance, academic commentators and students, and civil society practitioners. The Inspection Panel Casebook also aims to facilitate the generation knowledge by other researchers and practitioners that are interested in citizen-driven international accountability mechanisms.
