Top deck is a two-level course which bridges the gap between primary and secondary language learning. The course takes the highly successful story-based approach of primary courses as a basis and introduces the common features of secondary courses so pupils are best prepared for secondary school learning. They develop both language skills and learner confidence and independence. Maria Jose Lobo is an experienced teacher, teacher trainer and materials writer. She has taught at primary, secondary, and university levels. She has worked at the Resource Centre for Foreign Language Teachers. She is the co-author of the award-winning primary course Big Red Bus and Here Comes Super Bus. Pepita Subira has published numerous articles on methodology and has given many seminars around Spain. She is co-author of the course books for teaching English in Primary Big Red Bus, Super Bus, Here Comes Super Bus 1-4and Top Deck 2. She is now a freelance teacher trainer and collaborates with various teachers of English in Infant and Primary schools.
