Description
'This book should be essential reading for all teachers of Mathematics. Two highly experienced and innovative teachers reflect on the approaches they designed and implemented that have raised student achievement and opportunity.' Dr Jo Boaler, Stanford University 'This book will be used by teachers of Mathematics all over the world: its fresh ideas and basis in recent research and theory make it more valuable than other texts aimed at the same audience - it is full of well-founded ideas and exemplary practices which teachers will be able to think about, question, adapt and use.' Dr Bill Barton, University of Auckland 'This is one of those rare texts which one can wholeheartedly recommend to teachers across the whole spectrum from idealistic novice to fatigued veteran. It is intellectually provocative and intensely practical.' Dr William Higginson, Queen's University Canada Mike Ollerton is Senior Lecturer in Mathematics Education at St Martin's College, Lancaster.
