Rosie Pilbeam was brought up in farming family and has been with animals ever since. She worked for many years in various colleges and universities, specialising in animal/human interaction and is the author of The Complete Book of Dogs. Chief contributor Alan Edwards was a judge for many years with the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy in Great Britain and also frequently judged at international events. He bred British Shorthairs, Oriental Shorthairs, Siamese and Silver Persians under theprefix "Taliesin", which was granted in 1970.
