Richard & Judy Review All Of Us Are Broken by Fiona Cummins

Richard & Judy Introduce All of Us Are Broken by Fiona Cummins

Fiona Cummins is already well-established as a best-selling thriller writer but there’s no doubt All of Us Are Broken takes her storytelling to the next level. It’s a sensational, fast-moving, relentless novel about a psychotically violent couple (Missy and Fox) who set out on a killing spree in the Scottish Highlands. Detective Saul Anguish (yes, we know!) is in a race to stop them. The rest of us just have to keep up.

Judy's Review

Judy's Review:

This nail-biting, compelling and utterly gripping story is one of a classic folie a deux – a shared psychosis or disorder in which two people actively encourage each other in their delusions.

Folies a deux are rare – thankfully. Because when they stray into violence – and murder – they can be as powerful and devastating as a tornado.

Fiona Cummings has created a world in which a young couple, Missy and Fox, in effect hold hands and jump off the cliff of reality into a crazed landscape of compulsive killing.

They may be deranged, but they know what they’re doing – and want. Missy and Fox want to be remembered forever; they’re seeking infamy – and they’ll write their names in blood to get it.

Richard's Review:

Missy and Fox head north on their private trail of death. They begin by shooting an ex-police officer in Essex: soon they are in the Scottish Highlands and things take an even more sadistic, complicated turn.

DC Saul Anguish is first to realise the Essex murder is just the beginning; the first of a string of killings by a degenerate young couple hell-bent on notoriety. He tracks them north to a remote hotel on a Scottish loch.

Missy and Fox have barricaded themselves into the ballroom and taken the Hardwicke family hostage. Single mother Christine is about to be faced with an impossible decision, forced upon her by the twisted pair – choose between the life of her daughter and eight-year-old son.

Can Saul prevent the unthinkable?
